About
our company
Meet Matthew Bell, the founder of Bell Mechanical Services. Matt grew up on a farm in Rochdale and has been around engines and machinery for as long as he can remember. He’s raced enduro bikes all his life, so it’s no surprise he started his career young—working as a plant mechanic and on fleet at Casey Group Limited at just 15, over 20 years ago.
Since then, he’s built up years of hands-on experience, at company’s such as P. V Dobsons, working with everything from agri, plant and machinery to motorbikes, quads, and small kit. These days, he specialises in Manitou, Kubota, Massey Ferguson, and Fendt, but truth be told, if it’s got an engine, Matt will find a way to fix it.
In 2020, Matt moved to Skipton, where he set down roots and, in 2025, launched Bell Mechanical Services. When he’s not working, you’ll find him out in the Yorkshire Dales with his family and dogs—walking, exploring, and making the most of the countryside—or out on his bike, doing what he loves most.
